No one can deny that maternal and fetal health should be one of our priorities
in order to build up a good family. In order to cope with development that
occur all over the world, Committee of CPD council program as usual decides
to provide educational service to many doctors not only inside mega cities as
Cairo but also to all region all over Egypt. This our main message is to deliver
better health care service not only to every inch in Egypt but also we aim to
match other overseas doctors and health care providers

Target Audience
The program is designed for medical professionals at various levels (residents, specialists, and consultants) in the following fields:
• Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
• Radiology.
• Family Medicine and Family Planning.
• General Practitioners.
Duration
The total duration of the program is six months (approximately 25 weeks).
Hours
The workload is distributed as follows:
• Total program hours: 168 hours.
• Weekly workload: 7 hours per week.
• Theoretical/Online components: ~60 hours total (the schedule also notes 23 hours specifically for certain modules).
• Practical/Clinical components: 96 hours total (with 48 hours specifically mentioned for the basic courses).
Teaching and Learning
The curriculum is divided into two main courses: Basic Obstetrics and Basic Gynaecology. The learning approach is blended, combining:
• Online Theory: Including lectures on ultrasound physics, machine optimisation, and specific pathologies (e.g., Doppler basics, multiple pregnancies, and screening for Down syndrome).
• Practical/Clinical Training: Hands-on experience involving probe usage, patient positioning, and dealing with real cases under supervision.
• Task-based learning: Reading materials and interpretation tasks are assigned weekly.

Assessment is conducted at multiple intervals to track progress:
• Formative: Mini-questions before lectures to evaluate primary knowledge and post-lecture questions.
• Summative: Weekly mini-quizzes to test knowledge on specific topics and a final exam at the end of the program.
